Our Company Culture
Here at Lightspeed we’re firm believers that people are at their most productive when they’re in the most comfortable space, mentally and physically. It’s a no-brainer, really, that we all work from remote workspaces where we’re able to cater our work environments to our needs.
It’s also completely necessary that we adapt a remote work setup, as our employees are spread out across the globe, in South Africa, Brazil, Italy and Venezuela. Keeping the team working well while spread out is made possible through our use of well-defined daily, weekly and quarterly goals, as well as KPA reviews which happen twice a year. We rely heavily on collaborative technologies and software to keep in touch with each other and work effectively.
While we work mostly remotely and around the world, we take time every year to have a team meetup to catch up with each other, get a rundown of what we’ve all been working on, and of course to have a bit of fun and relax and reward ourselves for the hard work we’ve been doing. We care about the web and the world, and make sure that the people who work for us and with us do too. In light of this, we ensure that our team members stay up to date with the latest news and technologies in their respective fields, allowing for an hour of study time every day – and we encourage them to share their learnings with the rest of the team too.
